Location & How to get Here

Guests will meet at Kuala Abai Beach/Jetty Kastam Lama, the departure point for the One Ocean Nature Conservation Centre.

From Kota Kinabalu City, the journey takes approximately 2 to 2.5 hours by road, passing through scenic coastal and rural landscapes of Sabah. We recommend leaving early to enjoy a smooth ride and to arrive on time for the boat transfer.

Private transfers or taxis can be arranged for convenience (contact our team), and ample parking is available at the beach.

1 DAY – INTENSIVE ECOLOGY COURSE

10:00 AM – Arrival & Boat Transfer
Meet at Kuala Abai Beach for a scenic 15 minute boat ride to One Ocean Nature Conservation Centre, Usukan Island. Welcome briefing and introduction to program

10:30 AM – Orientation
Prepare for the day’s activities

11:00 AM – Classroom Session
3-hour interactive classroom session

01:00 PM – Lunch
Enjoy your final meal on the island.

02:00 PM – 1st Snorkeling Session (Field Training)
1st Snorkeling session

3:00 PM – 2nd Snorkeling Session (Field Training)
2nd Snorkeling session

04:00 PM – Free Time & Packing
Leisure time to relax, take photos, or shop for souvenirs before departure.

04:30 PM – Debrief Session & Certificate Presentation
Reflect on your experience, review key learnings, and receive your certificate of completion.

05:00 PM – Boat Transfer & Departure
Return to Kuala Abai Beach, departing with enhanced snorkeling skills, ecological knowledge, and a 1OE T-shirt.
